The Beach

Today Dad and I were going to build a lighthouse in the sand, but (because of the fire) the sand is covered in ash and that makes it impossible to build with! We tried and tried but it kept on falling down. The water was crystal clear today! Isn't that strange? The water was also really cold. Lizzy and I only went out up to our knees. That's how cold it is. The tide is way out and we found 4 whole sanddollars!

Fire in CA

A fire started a few days ago and it has gotten closer to our condo. It is so close it looks foggy but its just smoke (bottom photo). Yesterday we were going to go Legoland but because of the fire it was closed. Just think a lot of people lost there homes, family members, and got really sick. Mom my siblings and I prayed together. Jeff prayed for the fire fighters, Mom and Lizzy prayed for the family's with sick relatives, Alex and Dex prayed for the people who had to be from one hospital to another and for the animals, and I prayed that wind would come from the oceans and blow all the smoke away. Dad didn't know we were in the other room praying, and when mom went in to tell him and see the news, she saw on the TV that air was blowing in from the ocean. Every one of us was very happy. Right now, the back patio door is open and we finally smell salty air. God is amazing.

Saturday we went to the harbor. We walked all the way there! It wasn't a very long walk but still when we got back to the condo my legs hurt.The boys got two big shovels, but us girl didn't get anything. We also sat outside and watched the sun set. I t was so pretty!

It's our third day here in CA. I'm having lot's of fun but I still miss my friends. The water here is so cold! Yesterday Dex and I played in the water. But we couldn't go boogie boarding because there were so many rocks and we would've scraped our knees.Today we are going to build a big sandcastle. It's going to be so much fun! Alex and Dex really want to get started on it, but dad is busy right now. Our friends the Doans have been here since Saturday, and they are leaving tomorrow. Well thats all thats happened here so far. I will keep blogging here in CA. Bye!
