Today we are packing up because tomorrow we are going home to Arizona. I am so happy we are going home.

While we were here my Aunt Dee stayed and was taking care of our dog, Hollie.
Also she was cleaning and fixing our house up. Our tile is brown and Dee said that now it has white spots on it! That means it was really dirty.

Right now I really miss my friends. I love them so much. I'm so glad I will see them really soon.

Yesterday the sun came out for the first time in 2 weeks! The sun came out just for Dad because Dad came home yesterday. He left cause he had to work back in AZ. I am so happy he is back!

Today we played on the beach. We had so much fun! We built sandcastles, tunnels, we even built a really big car! We also played in the water. It was so cold! I mean the water was really cold.

Tomorrow we are going to Point Loma. It is going to be so much fun. Then the day after we're going to Lego Land.

Here in CA my grandparents, the Shepherds, came over. Right now they went to check in to a motel. They will be back in a while. While they were here we played cards, had a race, and had cookies and salad.

In the race it was Lizzy and me against Dex and Dad. First Dad and I raced. Then Lizzy and Dex raced. Lizzy and I would have won if Lizzy hadn't fell and if Jeff hadn't cheated for Dex. We tied though.

Guess what. Tomorrow we are going to Disneyland!!!! We are going to have so much fun! Mom said that we could stay until midnight when the fire works are on. Lizzy said that she didn't want to stay for them( she is afraid of fire works).

Yummy Spaghetti and yummy bread!

Today for lunch I made a salad. In the salad there was honey crisp apples, cucumbers, and hard boiled eggs. It was so good! Tonight Dad and Mom are making yummy spaghetti and yummy bread. Spaghetti and bread are so good! I love spaghetti and bread. It is a great combo.

Today is my dog's birthday! She is 3 years old and her name is Hollie. She is so cute! I love her so much. Happy 3rd Birthday Hollie! We miss you and Aunt Dee!

The water has been very weird lately. In the morning the tide is all the way up to the rocks! Then in the afternoon it is really far out! Dad said it was because we just had a full moon. Can you believe that the water has been strange just because of the moon?

Dad taught us a game called pickle. It is so much fun! In the game pickle you need three or more people and to paper plates. This is how you play: 2 people throw a ball back and forth while the other people run from one plate to the other. Then the people throwing the ball try to tag the people running from plate to plate, but they have to have the ball in their glove. Its a very fun game.

The fires are almost out and today it is raining! I am hoping the fires will be put out because of the rain.

I really miss all of my friends right now. I love them all very much.

The Beach

Today Dad and I were going to build a lighthouse in the sand, but (because of the fire) the sand is covered in ash and that makes it impossible to build with! We tried and tried but it kept on falling down. The water was crystal clear today! Isn't that strange? The water was also really cold. Lizzy and I only went out up to our knees. That's how cold it is. The tide is way out and we found 4 whole sanddollars!

Fire in CA

A fire started a few days ago and it has gotten closer to our condo. It is so close it looks foggy but its just smoke (bottom photo). Yesterday we were going to go Legoland but because of the fire it was closed. Just think a lot of people lost there homes, family members, and got really sick. Mom my siblings and I prayed together. Jeff prayed for the fire fighters, Mom and Lizzy prayed for the family's with sick relatives, Alex and Dex prayed for the people who had to be from one hospital to another and for the animals, and I prayed that wind would come from the oceans and blow all the smoke away. Dad didn't know we were in the other room praying, and when mom went in to tell him and see the news, she saw on the TV that air was blowing in from the ocean. Every one of us was very happy. Right now, the back patio door is open and we finally smell salty air. God is amazing.

Saturday we went to the harbor. We walked all the way there! It wasn't a very long walk but still when we got back to the condo my legs hurt.The boys got two big shovels, but us girl didn't get anything. We also sat outside and watched the sun set. I t was so pretty!

It's our third day here in CA. I'm having lot's of fun but I still miss my friends. The water here is so cold! Yesterday Dex and I played in the water. But we couldn't go boogie boarding because there were so many rocks and we would've scraped our knees.Today we are going to build a big sandcastle. It's going to be so much fun! Alex and Dex really want to get started on it, but dad is busy right now. Our friends the Doans have been here since Saturday, and they are leaving tomorrow. Well thats all thats happened here so far. I will keep blogging here in CA. Bye!

My Great Friend Galilee

The reason I like (LOVE) Galilee is, she's funny, sweet, and a godly girl. I can't even say how much I love her! I think Galilee is #1. She is one of the best friends I've ever had. She and I have a lot in common. When we're together we get all goofy. We even have a little dog ( fake of course.) named Trident. Galilee and I have been calling each other ever since Friday. I love her.

Her mom is in the hospital tonight and I will be praying for her and Galilee's family too.

Today.

Alex is coming home from Mexico tomorrow. I can't wait. Alex has been gone since last Wednesday. I really miss her. The night before she left we read from the Bible. One of the verses we read was Matthew 28:18-20,
"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,"All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the earth."
I bookmarked that verse in my Bible that way I can read it over and over again.This morning my Dad left for Texas. He'll be back Wednseday night.

My friends, the Doans, came over today at 2:30. They left at 4:30. While they were here we went swimming, and played outside. We had lots of fun.

So today, since Alex and Dad are gone, it'll just be Mom, Dex, Me, Lizzy, and Jeff. Just us five.

My bros, my sisters, and I enjoy drawing and coloring. Dexter loves drawing magical things (he makes them up himself.) . Alex is really good at coloring, and Lizzy and Jeff, well, they're working on it. I enjoy tracing and drawing. My mom is wonderful at drawing. I think she is the best.

The Desert

Most of you probably don't like the desert. You probably hate the heat. But to me the desert is my home. I would never trade it for anything because the desert is my life. Yes, I know it gets super hot, but still I love my home. If you complain about it then just open your eyes and look around. What you'll see is beautiful flowers, wonderful trees, but the best part is right when the sun is setting you can see it right behind a cactus. It is the prettiest thing.

"Welcome Home Nana And Papa!"

Today my Nana and Papa are coming home! It is 4:35 and still no sign of them. They have been in Oregon and North Dakota three weeks. They are home now! I have missed them soooooo much. Well now that they are home it's time to talk and have some fun!

Emma's Oatmeal Cookies

1 cup (2 sticks) of margarine or butter, softened.
1cupof firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-1/2 cups of all purpose flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
2/3 of Nutmug
1/2 teaspoon of salt
3 cups of Quaker Oats
(if you want you can add 1 cup of chocolate chips.)

1. Heat ovento 350 degree F.
2. Beat together butter and sugar until creamy.
3. Add eggsandvanilla; beat well.
4. Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt;mix well.
5. Stir in oats ( and chocolate chips.) ; mix well.
6. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheet.
7. Bake 10-12 min or until golden brown.
8. Cool 1 min on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack.

My North Dakota Family

Hi,
Today I'm going to be talking about my North Dakota family. In North Dakota I enjoyed baking sweet rolls with my great aunt Garene. I also liked braiding things with Hayden and Conner. That was fun.














But what was even more fun was riding the quad! My great uncle Roy had one. He would ride up front with someone, someone would ride on the back bars, and great uncle Roy would attach a rope to a calf sled and the rope to the back bars. Two people could sit on the sled. That was the funnest thing we did there!
My little brother Jeff loved Tractors, and uncle Todd has lots. It was so cool! He even gave us a ride in his combine. Uncle Todd gave Jeff a mini John Deere Tractor that used to be his. Jeff loved that. He still has it now!














One night we played with firecrackers while uncle Todd and Mike got the fireworks ready. While they worked we ran with the firecrackers, waving them. (We also roasted marshmellows for s]mores.) until they were ready. When they were ready we got chairs and blankets to sit on. Then the show began. They started with just a few wonderful ones but after the few good ones something scary happened. One of the pipes fell over and knocked over all the others right when they shot off! Thank God no one was seriously hurt. Alex got hit on the chin, after it bounced off Papa's knee, and Hayden's coat ended up having a black hole on it. And again thank God that no one was hurt. It was still a lot of fun! Emma

At The Beach

Hi,

On this post my family and I are on the California Beach. On the right there's me and my family, on the left there's me under water.We are going to Hawaii in August. On the beach my Dad, Alex, Dex, and I went Boogie Boarding. We went Body Surfing too. Mom and Dad said that we all were going to take Surfing lessons in Hawaii. We're going with Aunt Dee, Grandma, and Grandpa Tuten. Aunt Dee is soooo much fun( but so is Aunt Karen and Aunt Sher!!). We are going there on an Airplane. That is going to be fun too!!!!!

"Hey Alex? Will you be the junior bride's maid in my wedding.?" My 14 year old sister Alex was asked to be a bridesmaid in the November of 2006. She was asked by our good friend Samantha Dunham. Sam was going to get married on the 31 of March . Ofcourse Alex said "Yes." Alex loves playing the violin. Alex has beautiful thick long curls, gray eyes, and a wonderful, beautiful smile. Out of five children Alex is the oldest and prettiest. I can share my feelings with her, she shares her feelings with me. Alex is the best sister in the world. I love her sooooooooo much.

About The Title

Hi,
This post is about the title, Genesis 1:2-3. If you go to this verse in the Bible you will find out what it says. This is what it says: Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said "Let there be light," and there was light. I like that verse because the first part means that we are the earth, we are formless and empty, and God is just hovering over us just waiting for somone to ask him "Lord please come into my heart so that you may be my savior.". And the last part means that when we do ask Jesus into our hearts we are full of light because God said "Let there be light," and we are full of light.
So that is the story of the title, Genesis 1:2-3.

"Emma do you want to play prairie girls?" my five year old sister asked me just two years ago. She is seven now. It's amazing how they grow up so fast. Lizzy has lost her two front teeth just afew days ago. Lizzy used to be so cute and couldn't read. Now she is still cute, but now she can read and is in first grade going into second. She still asks me " Do you want to play prairie girls?" and how can I say "No." It's impossible to refuse..
